Retro rating correction

September 20th, 2014 Comments off

Hi everyone,

I just posted an update to the retro rating manual, notecards, and video 7.  On page 17 of the study manual (and notecards/video 7), I corrected that the incremental charge in Skurnick’s data was SMALLER not LARGER than the LERs imply due to the overlap.

Thanks,

Josh

A few corrections posted

September 19th, 2014 Comments off

Hi everyone,

I just posted 3 corrections to the material:

1.  Anderson: In part (c) of the solution to 2010 Q3, I reworded the first step since it previously included taking the log in both steps 1 and 2.

2.  Bailey & Simon: Corrected 3rd line of the solution to 2005Q3 to say “risk had at least one accident LAST year” instead of “risk had at least one accident free year”.

3.  ISO: Corrected a typo in the solution to 2007 Q27 that had “pf” instead of “of”.

Thanks,

Josh

Hi everyone,

I just posted a correction to the Clark manual.  I reworded the first sentence under the Annual Aggregate Deductible heading on page 16 of the Clark study guide.

Thanks,

A couple corrections

September 11th, 2014 Comments off

Hi everyone,

I posted a few corrections today:

1.  On the LDD and Excess papers study manual on the problem knowledge checklist, the word “higher” was missing on the 9 th bullet under LDD and Excess Cost Components.

2.  For the Miccolis/Lee 1 problem set, I revised the solution to 2005 Q10 since some of the descriptive formulas appeared incorrectly. The numerical answers were unaffected.

3.  For the NCCI 2 problem set, I corrected a typo in the solution to 2002 Q33. The value of Ae in the Mod formula appeared as 342,000 instead of 342,200. The solution was unaffected.

4.  In the Gillam & Snader 1 problem video, I corrected the problem strategy video as I had previously mentioned that the 3rd credibility criteria was that Z increases at a decreasing rate, which is not accurate.

Thanks,

Josh
