Robertson correction & other updates

October 3rd, 2016

Hi everyone,

I just posted a correction to the Robertson material to discuss how the current hazard group vector was calculated, and I changed the terminology of this vector from R_j to R_HG to be more consistent with the source paper.  Previously I had shown the HG vector as being calculated separately via HG level excess ratios.  While the end result would be very similar, this is not the process described by the source paper.  The source paper calculates the HG excess ratios as just loss-weighted averages of the class excess ratios for the classes in each hazard group.  This update impacted several pages of the manual, details video 1, and a few notecards.

Yesterday I also posted a correction to the Bernegger paper.  Previously page 2 of that manual said that said G'(d) >= 0 because F(d) >=0, but it should have said G'(d) >= 0 because F(d) <=1.

And finally, yesterday I also posted an updated solution with much more commentary to 2014 Q16 (c) which is in the Fisher problem set, since the question is a bit problematic.  I also removed the good problem flag from this question for this reason as well.

Thanks,

Josh
