D.3 Review video updated

It has been brought to my attention that the D.3 review video that was previously posted was not the correctly updated video.

There wasn’t anything wrong with the previous video, but more detail has been added, and the ordering adjusted to fit with the existing D.3. lessons.

I apologize for the oversight and any inconvenience that this may have caused.

B.5 Summary typo fixed, Sample exams are ready to go

Someone just located a typo on the B.5 summary sheet.  This has been corrected and posted to the seminar.   The typo was that the acceptance criterion for the N(0,1) simulation was missing a /2 in the exponent.

Also, all four sample exams are now up.     I’ll be working to add the rest of the sample exam video solutions, so let me know if there are specific ones that you would like promoted to the top of the priority list.

Sample Exam 1 is Up!

I’ve posted Sample exam 1, as well as its pdf solutions and answer key.   Many of the video solutions are also ready, currently missing I think 7 solutions.   I’ll try to get those up next week.

Also, I cleaned out the Sample exam 1 forum, so the topics there are now labeled to correctly correspond to the problems in this sample exam.

I expect the other three sample exams to come out next week.

Sample Exam Strategy video posted, Important typo corected

The Sample Exam strategy video has been updated for MAS-I, and posted earlier today in the “Watch Me First!” section of the Sample exams tab.  If you’d like to get started watching that, it isn’t too soon. My goal is to post the first sample exam on Friday.

Also, I just corrected an important typo in from the lesson handouts for lesson B.5.3.   This was already correct in the lesson and in the summary sheets, but slide 5 of the lesson handout previously stated in step 2 that X should be set equal to U.  This is not correct, it should have been X = Y there, as it is in the lesson video and in the B.5 summary sheet.

Review lessons complete!

I’ve just posted the last of the new review lessons for D.4 – D.6, and with that, lesson construction for MAS-I is complete!     The main lessons take up about 42 hours of video, and the review lessons allow you to review all of that material in about 8.5 hours.

I also posted today a number of video solutions for problems in D.4, D.5, and D.7.3, for problems that are inherited from Exam S and already had video solutions available.  I wired these up to the problem system as well, so please let me know if any problems seem to be pointing to the wrong video.

Next up: Sample exams!  Starting with the Sample exam strategy video, my goal is to ship Sample Exam 1 by the end of next week!
