Lesson Handouts Updated

The study schedule, detailed study manual, and all PDF lesson handouts have been refreshed in the online seminar to be consistent with the recent layout changes. We’ve also added a table of contents within each lesson handout PDF with the same outline number as found in the online seminar. This makes for easier navigation in your PDF viewer of choice.

LFV-C Canadian-specific lessons

Canadian students only:

If you are taking the Canadian exam (LFV-C), all Canadian-specific readings have been moved to a new tab in the online seminar called “LFV-C Can-Specific”. I’ve also included an updated Canadian study schedule on this tab. Please take a look at the notes in the “Read Me First” file at the very top of this tab before using any of the lessons on this tab.

And just to be absolutely clear, if you are taking the US exam (LFV-U), all of your material is on the LFV-U Lessons tab. You can safely ignore the Canadian-specific material.

Canadian-specific readings

Adding to my previous post, I just wanted to point out that the Canadian-specific readings on the LFV-C syllabus (Canadian version only) will be unavailable for a short period of time while we reorganize the online seminar.

All readings on the LFV-U (US version) of the syllabus will be available at all times on the left-most tab of the online seminar.

Once we’re done, the Canadian-specific readings will appear on a separate tab and be available to anyone registered for the Canadian version of the exam. I will make another post when this move is complete.

ILA Life Finance & Valuation – Fall 2014

And just like that, the spring 2014 sitting is in our rear view mirror! The good news for anyone getting an early start on the fall 2014 exam is that the syllabus did not change.

OK, well technically there was one minor change in that the exam committee clarified that only pages 18–23 of study note LFV-129-13 are required reading.

But at any rate, our LFV online seminar is fully stocked and ready to go for the fall. Even though there are no new readings to be added, we are planning to do some reorganization of the course. This will primarily involve moving the Canadian-specific content from the LFV-C syllabus to it’s own tab.

But at all times, all lessons will be available to everyone, and it will happen fairly quickly so as to minimize any inconvenience. Once this remodeling job is complete, we will post a new study schedule corresponding to the updated layout.

Good luck!
