Let’s get it started . . .

On your mark, get set, go . . .

We’re off an running for the Fall sitting of SOA Exam ILA-DP. At this time last week, I didn’t even know that the syllabus for this exam was released, and now (thanks to the persuasive ways of the folks at “The Infinite Actuary”) I’m planning on spending most of my weekend reviewing the material. My what a difference a week makes . . .

If you don’t know me, my name is Jeremy Bill and I will be leading an online seminar for The Infinite Actuary (TIA) over the next several months. The last 3 years I have presented at a review seminar called “Perfect 10 Actuarial Seminars.” (A special thanks to the co-founder of Perfect 10, Carrie McCain, for her encouragement to tackle this new endeavor.) I handled most of the Product Development and Marketing material that was on the syllabus for the old Exam 8I. Fortunately, a lot of this material is on the new exam as well.

I’ll be using this space to give you updates and answer specific questions. I’ll try to let you know when I plan to release new material and when I need to make changes to old material.

I’ll leave you with a recent picture of my daughter, Alixandra (Alix). She’s 6 months old and is quite the cutie (although I’m a little biased).

Good luck with your studying, and remember that it’s a marathon and not a sprint!!

Jeremy
