You Failed, Now What
It’s just about the worst feeling you can imagine. You spent more than a hundred hours getting ready to take that exam, just to see all your hard work go to waste with a score below 6. Well, maybe not totally to waste, but it certainly feels that way. So what are you going to do about it?
Grieve. Seriously, the first thing to do is not make it worse by getting down on yourself for having perfectly normal feelings. Failing sucks, and after making such a huge investment in time and energy you are going to feel denial, guilt, anger, etcetera. It’s totally natural. Everybody goes through it – you aren’t alone.
But pretty soon you will start into the upward turn, your mind will start working again, and you will start to want to find real solutions to help you do better the next sitting. When you get there, we have a video that can help you to analyze what happened last sitting and provide some guidance in making a new plan for your preparation to take the exam again.
It’s posted in the Before you begin section of the seminar, and its just a little over 10 minutes long. I feel sure that you will find something in it that will help you to make useful modifications to your study techniques – go have a look.
