Prometric now “closed” through the end of May – but SRM will still be given.

Update to the Update: The SOA has announced that SRM, P and a special administration of FM should take place this month at Prometric. However, some exams will be cancelled due to the need for additional spacing in the exam centers, so you may need to reschedule your test to a different day or a different town. For details, see the SOA announcement here:

Update: It may be that Prometric is considering the SOA exam sittings to be “Essential” in a way that will allow them to be administered as planned. Please keep an eye on your email to see if you receive further information from Prometric directly addressing this issue. I will update this post further as soon as I am able to find out more information.

Prometric will now be closed in the US and Canada through the end of May, which will affect the next sitting of the SRM exam.

It is not yet clear to me whether Prometric will try to schedule these affected exams in June or after or if you will have to reschedule your sitting to the next scheduled sitting in September, but you should hear directly from Prometric about that by email. I think you can also contact the SOA directly if for some reason things aren’t worked out for you by Prometric or you can’t use the September sitting for any reason to get a refund from the SOA.

As we mentioned in the TIA emails sent earlier this month, if your access was set to expire prior to the next sitting of SRM, in September, we will automatically extend your access to the end of that sitting to make sure you get a chance to take the exam before your TIA access expires.

When you continue preparing for SRM, remember to set a new exam date in our system so that the automatic scheduling will provide you with dates for each lesson, sample exam and so on that make sense for your new exam date.
